Minka Kelly is an American actress and author best known for her role as Lyla Garrity on the NBC series Friday Night Lights. Born on June 24, 1980, in Los Angeles, she is the only child of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay and Maureen Kelly. Her childhood involved frequent moves and limited stability while raised by her single mother.
Kelly gained widespread recognition through Friday Night Lights (2006–2009) and later appeared in films like The Roommate and as Samantha on HBO’s Euphoria. She also portrayed Dawn Granger/Dove in DC projects. In her personal life, Kelly wrote the New York Times bestseller Tell Me Everything, a memoir sharing her life experiences.
